Spirit Week is an annual week of events filled with BOMBER SPIRIT! Each day during the week, there are events and activities that promote school spirit and pride. The events lead up to the Cortaca Jug football game, Ithaca's biggest football game of the year against our rival, SUNY Cortland. The concept behind the week is to promote spirit and unity throughout the entire Ithaca College community. Events include everything from Taste of Ithaca, where local restaurants and food vendors provide free samples, to It's a Great Day to Pie a Bomber, where Ithaca College "celebrities" take a pie to the face to raise money for charity!

Cortaca T-Shirt Design Contest
Every year, STAT hosts a contest to choose the design for the Cortaca t-shirts. The goal of this contest is to encourage positive school spirit at the football game and within the Ithaca community as a whole. All students are eligible to submit a design, and the entries are voted on through social media. The contest has become a tradition, and students look forward to getting their shirt each year. The shirts are distributed during Spirit Week as part of our Shed the Red program.

Shed the Red is an annual campaign run in conjunction with Spirit Week and the Cortaca T-Shirt Design Contest. The program was developed to promote school spirit and encourage IC students to wear our school colors at the big game to show unity and support, and to limit the amount of Cortland red. To receive their free Cortaca shirt, students donate an article of red clothing. All of the clothing collected is donated to the Ithaca Rescue Mission, an organization in Tompkins County that provides support and assistance to the homeless.
